Biography

Dr. Joshi has been providing personalized, quality care to his patients for decades – over a quarter century in private practice. After graduating from Brookline High School, Dr. Joshi attended the University of Maryland and attended an accredited medical school in India.  He continued residency training in Washington DC and was Board-Certified in Emergency Medicine.  He relocated to Massachusetts in 1984 and practiced Emergency Medicine full-time for 10 years.  As a member of the medical staff at Lowell General Hospital, he responded to a growing need for primary care practitioners by opening his internal medicine practice in Billerica in 1994, adding a second clinic in 1999 in Drum Hill, Chelmsford.   In 2004, he decided to expand the Billerica office and consolidate both practices.  In 2007, he acquired CBC Medical Center in Lowell to serve the needs of the Cambodian and Spanish-speaking communities. In 2014, the CBC Medical and Walk-In Center relocated to a larger, newer, facility – fully equipped and integrated with the Billerica practice.

His practice has grown from a single provider to five practitioners.  He also served as Medical Director for several nursing homes and continues to provide coverage through the practice to several area facilities.

Dr. Joshi has been an active member of the medical staff at Lowell General Hospital for 25 years, a recognized name in the Greater Lowell healthcare community. He has worked with and/or trained many a young physician in this area.

Earlier, he served as teaching faculty at the University of Syracuse for residents of their medical training program.  He continued teaching Emergency Medicine residents at North Shore Hospital, a teaching hospital. Dr. Joshi’s Practice has been accredited as a Clinical Preceptor Program for Nurse Practitioners at the University of Massachusetts at Lowell.
